Convert video to iPod, iPhone, Apple TV, PSP, Cell Phone
For Windows users
Since the first MP4 players went to the market in France in 2002, portable video players have become a must-have for a lot of people. Now we have iPod, iPhone, PSP, PS3, Apple TV, and even cell phones that can play videos. However, all these players require different video formats. Why can’t they just use the same formats? No doubt that the providers all want exclusivity so they can get more money out of us customers. But there is always a solution : ) With an all-in-one tool, we can put movies from DVDs and in almost any video formats.
1. Firstly, download Mac DVD Studio Pack. It includes two programs: Mac DVD Ripper – to rip DVD for mobile players; and Mac Video Converter – to convert video for mobile player. Download the Intel version here, or Download Power PC version here.
2. Launch DVD Ripper, and follow the steps below:
Step 1: Insert your DVD disc to your computer disc drive. Click “Load DVD”, select your disc drive, and click OK to add your DVD movie to the program.
Step 2: From the “Format” list, select the output format according to the name of your mobile player (iPod, iPhone, PSP etc.). Then tick the “Merge into one file” option (This allows you to rip all DVD contents (all chapters or titles) into one file)
Step 3: On the lower right part, name the output file, select DVD subtitle, and select audio track.
Step 4: Click “Browse” to set the output directory to save the final movie.
Step 5: Click “Start” to start conversion and put the final movie after the conversion.
You may also want to edit your movie using this application:
I. Click “Trim” to capture a clip from your movie to convert.
II. Click “Crop” to cut off the redundant sides of your movie.
III. Click “Effect” to use a edit video effects.
3. If you want to convert video for your players, just launch Mac Video Convert and the steps are pretty much the same as Mac DVD Ripper.
